Benefits of Living in Gratitude

Especially in the current era it is vital to remember to effectively slow down….and then actually applying it every day

Stress prompts many adverse health conditions, psychological and physical in nature

While celebrating the simple fact of being healthy and alive, one can gain a strong sense of gratitude, which upon examination, ranks very high on the vibrational frequency scale.

A person may reach the state of being grateful at different times in their life. Regardless when and where that is though, it begins with awareness. The kind of awareness which brings with it an expanded consciousness to one’s heart, mind and soul, the one which essentially allows a shift within and without from separation to oneness, to wholeness. We believe that gratitude originates and resides foremost in one’s heart and emanates from there.

With that in mind, we all have experienced the difference between polarities such as:

  • Trust vs. Fear of the Future

  • Happiness vs. Discontent

  • Love of Self vs. Lack of Self Esteem

  • Tolerance vs. Intolerance

  • Gratitude vs. Resistance

and most likely have a good sense as to how they affect our ability to resonate with the Quantum Field, or to cut ourselves off from it. Our world, reality, the story we are living, materializes out of who we are and how and what we think. It is an extension – a lower octave – of our personal vibration. This means it is a mixture of love and fear.

Appreciation

Appreciation, which is another form of gratitude, is among the most effective emotions to raise an individuals’ personal vibratory frequency and thereby help facilitate a mental, physical and behavioral transformation. Sincere, heartfelt appreciation uplifts, inspires and drives people to achieve that which we they not think possible.

Scientific trials have revealed a common experience in people when they intentionally are honing in on emotions that ride on gratitude or appreciation. They feel a gentle warmth in the area around their hearts. These feelings are part of our heart’s rhythmic coherence. Results consistently have shown that heart-focused, sincere, positive feeling states, such as gratitude, boost energy and one’s cognitive abilities as well as the immune system and resiliency for future challenges. Negative emotions tend to suppress or impair these for varying amounts of time. These physical and behavioral characteristics of either positive or negative emotions raise or lower one’s personal vibrational frequency.

Heart Coherence

When heart-monitoring technology measures heart-rhythm patterns, it shows a variation in these patterns, depending on the emotions a subject is experiencing.

One moment, someone could be feeling frustration, anger, fear or another negative emotion and the pattern, (see graphic of someone’s actual pattern) might be jagged, or disordered. Within seconds of choosing to feel appreciation, compassion or another positive emotion, the pattern can turn smooth, or ordered.

Smooth heart-rhythm patterns (see appreciation graphic) are what scientists call highly ordered or coherent patterns. The higher a person’s coherence is, the likelier the person is enjoying good health and emotional balance. This transformation in heart-rhythm patterns is accessible to most people. A willingness to make a simple commitment to minutes of daily practice of some easily learned techniques can lead to improved heart-rhythm patterns with greater frequency.

A simple and helpful technique

breathing

Try this

  • Heart Breathing: Focus your attention on your heart area, and breathe a little deeper than normal, in for 5 or 6 seconds and out 5 or 6 seconds.

  • Heart Focus: Imagine breathing through your heart. Picture yourself slowly breathing in and out through your heart area.

  • Heart Feeling: Activate a positive feeling as you maintain your heart focus and breathing. Recall a time you felt good inside, and try to re-experience the feeling. Remember a special place or the love you feel for a close friend, relative or treasured pet. The key is to focus on something you really appreciate and are grateful for.

When you apply this technique, what are you feeling? Notice a greater sense of ease, well-being or relaxation? Want to go even deeper? Try incorporating more appreciation into your life in the following simple ways.

  1. Appreciation Breaks: Take two or three appreciation breaks each day – ideally in early morning, during work, school, returning home or before bed. Just follow the above simple steps. It takes as little as two minutes to achieve mental, emotional and physical balance.

  2. Gratitude List: Make a list of things you appreciate – people, places, activities, pets – and choose one or two each morning to hold in your heart during the day. Choose an item again at night to hold in your heart while you rest.

  3. Appreciation in the Moment: Keep your Appreciation List close all day, in a pocket or purse, by your computer, on your phone etc. In stressful moments, choose an item that can quickly evoke appreciation. It can turn a stressful day into one that flows – in 30 seconds or less.

Sound and the Heart

You may ask, well, that’s fine, but what does all that have to do with Sound and Gongs?

Since every person perceives it differently, there are as many different approaches to raising ones awareness and consciousness as there are people. Side by side to meditation, QiGong, yoga, reiki, acupuncture, massage, walks in nature etc., one of the many ways is through the drawing power of sound. The multi dimensional sound of the gong in particular.

Sound current, the Divine Life Force or Spirit emanating from the Power that sustains all life in the universes and is visible as Light and audible as Sound, is perceived internally, as opposed to the external sound of the gong. The gong sound however can serve as a reference tone, a reminder and vehicle to bring you along to the inner sounds, the sound currents that reside deep within, which then can be used to lift your consciousness into other planes and to transform your nature of being. The healing sounds of a gong have been known to have transformational qualities for well over 3,000 years. Gongs and singing bowls are psycho – acoustic gateways to a higher state of awareness and consciousness. And isn’t that what all transformation begins with?

No matter where you are in your evolution, remember to breathe deeply, think positive thoughts and practice gratitude & appreciation for this wonderful and magical gift called Life.
