Gong Mallets
Soft head mallets made of hardwood with a comfortable and well balanced feel. The soft sheep like fur wrapping is ideal for the creation of low frequency sounds on any region of the gongs.
These mallets ensure a soft as well as distinct touch point sound when striking the gong with them, depending on the intensity. They assist in generating the lower frequency and tonal ranges of the gong and generate a distinctly different sound than small head or harder mallets. These mallets can also be used for the play of larger singing bowls and Burmese Bells.
Approximate dimensions are:
GM-FL: 1 small mallet head 2.5" dia., 2” tall, with an overall length of 14"
GM-FL 2: medium large mallet head 3.5" dia., 2” tall, with an overall length of 15"
GM-FL 3: large mallet head 4" dia., 3” tall, with an overall length of 15.5"
We use several of them for the creation of our sound bath journeys.
