Tingsha
Tingshas are perfect for meditation or to start and end a yoga session
Small cymbals used in prayer, ceremonies, rituals as well as at the beginning and end of meditation sessions. The use of pure and high quality alloy elements (tin and copper resulting in bronze), and the fact that these instruments are hand made, ensures an extraordinary high quality and purity of sustained sound.
Aside from being used for meditation and yoga practices, these versatile bells can also be used for Feng Shui and clearing space. The purifying tones are rung in each corner of a room for Feng Shui, and are used for clearing auras and said to “fill” empty space. In sound healing applications the higher pitched tones (frequencies) are typically used more for opening and harmonizing the human energy centers (chakras).
The cymbals are joined together by a leather strap, and struck together edge to edge at right angles producing a clear and high pitched tone. The Tingshas are played by striking the two edges together, and then allowing the sound to, while being apart from each other, resonate throughout the space.
They are made in Nepal and come in small at 3" in dia. and engravings at the bottom side, and large at 3.75" dia.
